On January 24, 2025, ONE Championship delivered a thrilling night of martial arts action at ONE 170: Tawanchai vs. Superbon II, held at the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

The event featured a stacked card with three World Title bouts, culminating in a highly anticipated rematch between two of Thailand’s Muay Thai superstars.

Main Event: Tawanchai vs. Superbon II

In the main event, reigning ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai P.K.Saenchai faced off against ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon Singha Mawynn in a rematch of their December 2023 encounter. Their previous bout ended in a unanimous decision victory for Tawanchai, and Superbon was eager to even the score.

The first round showcased a competitive exchange, with both fighters displaying their striking prowess. However, in the second round, Tawanchai unleashed a devastating combination, culminating in a right-left sequence that sent Superbon to the canvas.

Although Superbon managed to beat the count, Tawanchai’s relentless assault led to two more knockdowns, prompting the referee to stop the fight at 1:10 of Round 2, declaring Tawanchai the winner by TKO.

Co-Main Event: Fabricio Andrade vs. Kwon Won Il

The co-main event featured a ONE Bantamweight MMA World Championship rematch between the reigning champion, Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade, and #3-ranked contender Kwon Won Il. Their first encounter saw Andrade securing a first-round knockout victory.

Originally slated to challenge Superlek Kiatmuu9 for the undisputed bantamweight Muay Thai title, Nico “King of the North” Carrillo found himself facing Nabil Anane for the interim championship due to Superlek’s injury withdrawal.

The bout was a showcase of striking skills, with both fighters demonstrating exceptional technique. In the end, Nabil Anane emerged victorious, claiming the interim title and setting the stage for a future unification bout against Superlek.
