Rampage Jackson’s Son Under Investigation After Violent Wrestling Incident in Los Angeles

Raja Jackson, the son of former UFC star Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, is under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) following a violent incident at a professional wrestling event that left one performer hospitalized.

The altercation, which was captured on video and has since gone viral, shows Raja storming the ring during a match involving wrestler Stuart Smith—known professionally as Syko Stu. The footage depicts Jackson lifting Smith, slamming him to the mat, and delivering more than 20 punches to his head before being restrained.

Smith was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, including multiple facial fractures and lost teeth. Doctors later confirmed he was in stable condition.

Police said they received a call around 9 p.m. reporting an attempted murder. By the time officers arrived, Jackson had already left the venue. The incident has since been reclassified as felony battery, though as of Monday no arrests had been made.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, who rose to fame as one of the UFC’s most colorful champions, issued a public apology for his son’s actions. He revealed that Raja had recently suffered a concussion and “had no business being in the ring,” adding that he was “very upset” by the events and wished Smith a full recovery.

KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy, the organizer of the event, condemned the attack, saying what was meant to be a choreographed performance turned into “a selfish, irresponsible act of violence.” The academy noted that in its 17 years of operation, it had never experienced anything of the sort.

The brawl reportedly followed an earlier confrontation outside the venue, in which Smith struck Raja with a beverage can. Legal experts, however, say that altercation is unlikely to justify the severity of the assault.

Clips of the attack, first streamed on the platform Kick, spread rapidly across social media, drawing widespread outrage from fans, combat sports figures, and celebrities. Some called for Raja’s immediate arrest and prosecution, while others expressed concern for Smith’s mounting medical bills.

YouTube star MrBeast was among those reacting online, pledging to support Smith’s recovery and assist with hospital expenses.

The LAPD confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
