Joe Rogan isn’t planning to hang up his headset any time soon — unless UFC CEO Dana White calls it quits.

The legendary podcaster and longtime color commentator has been a staple of UFC broadcasts for nearly three decades.

Rogan made his debut with the promotion in 1997, the same night the first heavyweight champion was crowned. Now, 28 years later, he’s one of the most recognizable figures in the world, with a net worth in the hundreds of millions — yet he still returns to the commentary booth several times a year to lend his voice and energy to major UFC events.

While some fans recently poked fun at Rogan after a botched Paddy Pimblett impression during the UFC 314 broadcast — even jokingly calling for his retirement — the 57-year-old has no intentions of stepping away from the sport.

“I just enjoy it. I don’t think about retiring, no,” Rogan said on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience. “If Dana White quits, I might quit, but that’s it. It’s actually in my contract. If he leaves, I leave.”

Rogan emphasized that his longtime friendship and loyalty to Dana White is the only reason he stuck around for so long.

“I wouldn’t be doing it if it wasn’t for him,” he added. “He’s my friend. He talked me into doing it. I started working for the UFC in 1997 when it was nothing, nobody was watching then.”

Despite his packed schedule and massive success outside the cage, Rogan’s bond with the UFC — and Dana White — remains unshakable.
