UFC double champion Conor McGregor has confirmed he will step into the boxing ring against YouTuber-turned-WWE sensation Logan Paul in a high-profile exhibition match next year.

The fight is set to take place at Mumbai’s iconic Wankhede Stadium as part of the “Visit India” tourism campaign, with the Ambani family hosting the duo.

The blockbuster bout is expected to earn McGregor a record-breaking $250 million, marking the highest payout in boxing history. While the exact date remains under wraps, McGregor shared the news via X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, echoing confirmations from Fight Book MMA and his media house, The Mac Life. Logan Paul also teased the fight with an Instagram poll, asking fans to predict the winner.

Exhibition bouts have proven lucrative for fighters. McGregor previously earned $85 million from his 2017 clash with Floyd Mayweather, who pocketed $275 million. Similarly, Logan’s brother Jake Paul secured $40 million for his November fight against boxing legend Mike Tyson, while Tyson earned $20 million.

These high-stakes matches have attracted numerous MMA fighters to boxing. Earlier this year, former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou earned $20 million against Anthony Joshua, despite suffering a knockout. UFC icons like Anderson Silva and Tyron Woodley have also faced Jake Paul, cashing in substantial paychecks even in defeat.

For McGregor, this will mark a return to the ring after more than three years away from competition following a career-altering leg injury sustained against UFC lightweight Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

The former lightweight and featherweight champion has hinted at an octagon comeback after the Logan Paul fight, keeping fans on edge for his next move.

This clash of combat sports titans promises to deliver more than just entertainment—it could redefine the commercial landscape of exhibition boxing.
